Ngāti Porou Oranga are looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Nurses to join our Case-Mix Ward Team at Te Puia Springs Hospital on the beautiful East Coast.

As a Registered Nurse this is a crucial role providing exceptional high-quality patient centered care and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical/aged care/emergency and maternity wards, continuing the positive experience and support we provide to our close-knit communities across the East Coast.

We have Permanent Full time positions available, working in Te Puia Springs. Temporary accommodation is available.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Registered Nurse qualification.
  • Current APC.
  • A current Annual Practicing Certificate, ACLS Level 6 and Core Advance.
  • Upholds the Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in all nursing practices.
  • Have the ability to connect with patients on a personal level and show genuine empathy is crucial for this role.
  • Effective communication with patients, their families, and the healthcare team is essential.
  • Have a great team spirit with a drive to make a difference in the lives of others.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and proven ability to create effective working relationships.
  • Flexible, innovative, and open to continuous learning in a changing environment. You should be ready to adapt to changing circumstances and take the initiative when necessary.
  • Promotes the image and practice of caring, supportive and competent nursing.
  • Is available to cover rostered shifts and participate in the On Call System as required.

Operating Competencies:

  • Full, clean NZ Driver License.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
