This is an exciting opportunity to join our Waka Manaaki Service as a Driver with Ngati Porou Oranga.

We have Casual Driver positions available.

This role will work closely with our Primary Care & Community General Manager and our wider Ngāti Porou whānau to provide transport services from Matakaoa - Te Araroa to Gisborne township.

Ngā pukenga me ngā wheako - Essential Skills & Experience:

You will have:

• A vibrant, positive can-do attitude, ready to roll up your sleeves and get the mahi done!
• A current and clean Drivers Licence with P endorsement and Class 2 or 4 Licence if appropriate and/or required
• Ability to perform safety and vehicle inspections before departure
• The service is operated in a timely manner that meets the needs of our Coastal whanau travelling to and from specialist appointments in Turanga
• Follow a specific timetable that obeys transit regulations, traffic and safety procedures to ensure safety of all travelling whanau and their ongoing comfort and care.
• Assist disabled and elderly whanau with embarking and disembarking
• Report all mechanical issues to Manager immediately
• Maintain a clean and sanitary vehicle at all times
• Adapt any other additional duties as demands require and directed by Manager
