Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role:
Ngāti Porou Oranga are looking for a passionate, energetic Nāti Pēpi Niwareka (Support Worker) to join our Nāti Pēpi Team. We are looking for someone who has lived experience of being a Māma raising Tamariki on the East Coast. This person will play an active role based mainly in the Tokomaru Bay community, so an indepth understanding of the local marae, community and whānau is needed. You will also be required to support hapū Māmā and Pēpi in Te Puia Springs and Waipiro Bay.
Nāti Pēpi is an indigenous maternal and infant wellbeing service in Te Tairāwhiti. We are a Kaupapa Māori centred service that blends clinical, social wellbeing and Rongoa Māori practices to offer whānau an integrated maternal and infant wellbeing service, investing into whānau ora. A knowledge and understanding of Te Reo, Ngati Poroutanga, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn is required
As a Nāti Pēpi Niwareka, you will work within a dynamic, professional and nurturing team environment , where we support the professional and cultural development of our kaimahi.
This is a Permanent Full-time position based across our East Coast communities including Tokomaru Bay, Waipiro Bay, and Te Puia Springs.
